Golf Tournament
Our Annual Charity Golf Tournament, always brings our friendly competitive nature out in all of us as we get to the tee box. With an average of approximately 124 players each year, the competition is pretty fierce. The most important thing about our Golf Tournament is that we are able to bring our members, business professionals and philanthropists into one event. The golf tournament has been a great place for our businesses to showcase their products and services at the different holes, swag bags, golf balls, and other promo material.
Ashoka Awards Gala
The Indian American Chamber of Commerces’ Ashoka Awards Gala, is the one night out of the year where our focus is to celebrate our local community, entrepreneurs, professionals, and influencers. We are able to kick back, relax, network and catch up with colleagues, friends and family. The Ashoka Awards Gala is a great place to network with other like minded business professionals to further your business or career. Each year we recognize individuals from Central Florida in these categories: Entrepreneur of the Year, Male Entrepreneur of the Year, Female Entrepreneur of the Year, and Community Service Award.
Gandhi Day of Service
Gandhi once said, “It’s the action, not the fruit of the action, that’s important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there’ll be any fruit. But that doesn’t mean you stop doing the right thing.” With this simple mindset of performing action however small or large and not wanting anything in return the Indian American Chamber of Commerce hosts our Annual Gandhi Day of Service. During this event we bring the entire community together to help pack meals for the underprivileged locally in Central Florida and around the World. When we started this initiative we had a goal of 10,000 meals and every year we have surpassed the previous year, with over 150,000 meals packed in 2022.
India Day
India Day started in 2013 in partnership with the Orlando Magic for their Heritage Night. With that mindset we wanted to bring our Indian Culture to main stream Central Florida. The premise being education we are able to showcase our culture by Dance and Food at our Street Festival, In-Game Experiences, Food Stalls and Post-Game Entertainment. Over the past years India Day with the Orlando Magic has become the largest Heritage Night across the entire NBA. Our past celebrities have included Miss USA Nina Devhalurai to Jay Sean to Govinda and to the Queen of Bollywood herself Maduhri Dixit. Our Street Festival held outside of the Amway Center allows for local dance students to showcase their talent on stage by performing different styles of dance from around India.
