Orlando, FL – November 18, 2019 The Indian American Chamber of Commerce Orlando (IACC) is planning for its 8th annual India Day 2020 Celebration in downtown Orlando on Saturday, February 01, 2020 with the Orlando Magic. The event will celebrate cultural diversity inside and outside the Amway Center. Thousands will take part in the Street Fest, the Orlando Magic game, and India Day entertainment before, during and after the game. The IACC is partnering with the Orlando Magic and Fairwinds Credit Union to present India Day 2020.
Orlando Magic fans will be in for a treat at this year’s India Day. The Magic will host the Miami Heat, starting at 7 PM. Group ticket sales and suite sales are available, making this the perfect networking opportunity for attendees. The 3rd annual 3 on 3 basketball tournament, will be played on the Magic’s NBA court, featuring amateur action with three pointers.
IACC Vice President Jay A. Shah says, “The IACC leadership team is planning a fantastic family day again for our India Day 2020 Celebration. This event keeps growing each year. We know that diversity is a strength in Orlando, and we recognize the heritage of Indian Americans living in Central Florida.”
The event is a commemoration of India's Republic Day, honoring the date when India’s Constitution went into effect. The IACC- Orlando thanks the Orlando Magic for their continuing commitment to the 8th annual event. The NBA has recognized the India Day Celebration in Orlando as the Best Heritage Night in the NBA.
The 8th annual India Day 2020 Celebration Street Fest will feature dance performances. Attendees can learn more about Membership, Henna, Yoga, and "How to Tie" Sari & Turban booths. Some music fans will enjoy a Post-Game concert, featuring celebrity guest singer Govinda Aala Re. The Post-Game Show tickets will cost 30 dollars each.
The IACC is taking a prominent role to connect people and to foster business opportunities, as well as community awareness and involvement. Annual events include the IACC India Day with the Orlando Magic, the Awards Gala, Golf Tournament, and Gandhi’s Day of Service, along with innovative events like Smart and Sustainable Cities, to informative monthly BAH events hosted at various local businesses.
