Orlando, FL November 05, 2018- Late last month, the Indian American Chamber of Commerce- Orlando, IACC, co-hosted the Consul General of India, Dr. Swati Kulkarni. Dr. Kulkarni attended meetings with Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Congressman Darren Soto, representatives from UCF, and Orange County Mayor Elect Jerry Demings. More than twenty Indian Associations were represented from the Central Florida region, during two days of back to back discussions with community leaders. Dr. Kulkarni is the first female diplomat posted to this role at the Consul General office in Atlanta.
The meetings with Dr. Kulkarni and Central Florida leaders focused on a variety of economic issues, and on how business owners in Central Florida and India can work together in the future to create new opportunities.
"The Central Florida community and the Consul General of India for the Southeast United States have forged a strong rapport, identifying economic and cultural opportunities in Florida and in India,” said Yog Melwani, IACC President. “The IACC will continue to work with the Consul General of India to create business opportunities.”
